A sore foot on Photo Wednesday

Hi everyone after a couple of cool wet days it has been dry and hot again, had to turn the air con on again this afternoon, went to my aqua class this morning and I have no idea what I did but I some how hurt my left foot, the top of the foot is hurting a lot.

This morning while working out I noticed the leg of my swimsuit was loose like the elastic has snapped, so on Friday I will have a look for a new swimsuit. I still have the gift card my sister gave me for Christmas, so I will use that.

On Monday I noticed that my Uncle has put his house (my late grandparents house) on the market, this is the house my grandfather built and many people in the family are upset about him selling it but there is nothing we can do about that.

Well hello everyone this cool and wet Monday afternoon been a busy morning with my aqua class followed by going to the shops for bread, tobacco and wine then before I knew it, it was time to go get Leo from school.

Conflict

Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?

When it comes to disagreements with others what do you do are you one to stand your ground or do you try to avoid the conflict.

Are you someone who speaks their mind even if it will course an argument or are you more likely to say little or nothing but do whatever you want anyway. Maybe you are someone who smiles and nods while thinking things like “you’re an idiot” or “just shut up you fool”.

I am one who tries to avoid an argument, I don’t do conflicts very well I get confused and my heart pounds and I just want things to settle down. I have never in my life been in physical conflict aka fight, that is just not me.

Although I have two sisters who will go all badass on you if you start in on her or any member of her family they never back down and will stand their ground. This they get from our dad, who if he felt he was in the right would stand his ground and not back down and dad is only 5’2”.

This and That

Good morning everyone, didn’t get around to doing a post yesterday, it was a somewhat busy day.

Had to take Leo to see his paediatrician and then dropped him at school by that time it was after midday but he really wanted to go to school. Jessica said why do we need to have him there he is weighed and height check and blood pressure checked and then he isn’t needed and we talk about him while he sits bored.

Anyway at 2pm Jessica rings me I had to go and get him because he was upset and crying, turned out they forgot to give him his midday medication. They gave it to him just before I picked him up so after about 20 minutes he was ok, I brought him back here till his mum picked him up at 4.30pm.

He was dropped off this morning at 6am as per usual, he should be staying tonight here so we both get a bit of a sleep in tomorrow morning. It is pissing down rain as I write this how lovely, hope it settles down by the time Tim needs to ride his motorbike to work this afternoon, I worry about him riding his motorbike in bad weather.

Here there is still a lot of carry on about our Deputy Prime Minister and his affair and new relationship with a former staffer and I am so over hearing about, ok his marriage has broken up and he has a new pregnant girlfriend. Did this relationship stop him doing his job NO what has interfered with his job is all the media carry on since the news of the relationship broke.

Just saw an add on telly for some kinda “pickup” this has annoyed me as here down under we do not have “pickups” we have “utes”a “pickup” is what the Americans have, just saying.

Also heard that Camilla will be joining Charles on his trip to Australian for only 2 days because she has trouble with long trips, hell who flies from the UK to Australia for only 2 days. Also not like the woman is going to be flying economy she will be able to have a nice sleep on the flight.

The Winter Olympics are on but I am not interested at all, I have every little interest in sport, but that is ok man people love sport and the Olympics.

14th February or Valentine’s Day

For some reason I didn’t do a post yesterday, I was, however, very tired yesterday and ended up going back to bed at 10.30am after I hung the washing on the clothes hoists to dry and I slept till 1.30pm when I got up to get ready to go get Leo from school. Speaking of Leo he was going to sleep over on Monday night but after being here for an hour or so after school he decided he wanted to go home, this really annoyed his mum but after they talked for a bit she was ok, he did end up sleeping here last night this meant that I got a half hour sleep in this morning, he woke me at 6.30am. Going to be another hot day here temperature around 36°c.

Leo is happy he got his tablet playing through the tv, he doesn’t know how he did it but he is happy it is doing it.

Today it is the 14^th which means it is Valentine’s Day Tim has never had time for Valentine’s Day although I just got a message saying Happy Valentine’s Day Darling from Tim, I am lucky that I am married to the love of my life who is my soulmate.

It is also the 31^st birthday of our second daughter Natasha, Tim has always felt that she was the best Valentine’s Day gift ever.

Natasha has always been a younger, female version of Tim and as a teenager she was our little rebel and caused us both a lot of worry and some sleepless nights but she turned out ok in the end and is a loving and caring woman and a good mother to Blain our eldest grandson.

Hi everyone, here we are at another Monday, this morning I had to take Leo to see his paediatrician only to get to the hospital to find she isn’t there and we now have to see her next Monday at Belmont Hospital not the John Hunter Hospital talk about frustrating. Although this made Leo happy as he doesn’t like going to see her and does not like to miss an school.

Pain, yet again

Hello everyone, how is life treating you all?

I am in a great deal of pain, yet again, with my right leg and my left knee isn’t much better.

I have bursitis again in my right knee, I went to the GP yesterday and he confirmed that it is bursitis. If you are wondering what is bursitis, it is a conditions that happens when your bursae which is a small fluid-filled sack near your joint becomes irritated and swollen. The bursae play a key role in helping your joints move smoothly, they cushion your bones and tendon and ligaments as they move against each other.

Treatment depends on the cause of the bursitis but generally treatment aims to relieve the symptoms as much as possible while healing takes place. Treatment includes pain relief medications, ice packs and anti-inflammatory medications or corticosteroids injections. I have been told to rest the leg and stay off it as much as possible

The pain is so bad I cry out loud because of it and this is distressing for family members, I am taking it slow and one day at a time.

Indestructible Creatures No: 4 Tardigrade

Hello Tuesday, what a day I have had, I have been unwell most of the day, in fact driving Leo to school this morning I just wanted to go to sleep after dropping him at school I had to go and get a loaf of bread for Tim and I was in so much pain I just wanted to cry but after a few steps the pain eased up and I picked up my pace to get stuff done before it returned.

Anyway today I am going to tell you a bit about a Tardigrade, heard of it, nope, me either…………

So a Tardigrade are small and they look like a cute cuddly bear, except bears don’t have eight legs this small, slow creature which is also called a moss piglet or a water bear may be one on the toughest animals of all.

Heat, cold, drought, Xrays and the intense pressure of the deep ocean along with the the empty vacuum of space a tardigrade can handle it all and better than other animals as well. They can survive temperatures as high as 150°c (300°f) and as low as -270°c (-458°f) which is pretty much as cold as it can get.

Like the arctic springtails, tardigrades can dry themselves out to survive harsh conditions, but they do it better, they can stay in a super-tough dried out state for years maybe even decades who knows. When they are put back into water they come back to life.
